Hello Eagles!
This week was Homecoming Week and we had lots of activities and spirit days centered around our Homecoming theme, “Book of Life.” This has been one of my favorite Homecoming themes because it is based on the movie, which centers around writing your own story and staying true to who you are rather than following the path others expect you to take. I think this is such a meaningful message for our young adults, who are growing up in a world where every action can be posted online and dissected by others. Sometimes, choosing integrity, kindness, and rising above peer pressure can be difficult, but those are the moments when it matters most to stay true to yourself.
Throughout the week, students participated in spirit days that celebrated culture, family, and friendship. On Thursday, our ASB students helped us celebrate the Lancaster High School story with an amazing pep rally featuring performances from many of our student groups. We ended Thursday night on the football field as our Eagles celebrated a 56–0 win over the Littlerock Lobos!
Tomorrow night, we have one more Homecoming event; the Homecoming Dance! It is going to be an amazing night, and we can’t wait to see our Eagles show up and show out for this exciting event!
Check out the images below for a recap of our Homecoming highlights, along with important information about the Homecoming Dance.
